We write the software universities run on.
We build and run MAIS, the academic information system that nine Slovak universities and colleges use to admit applicants, manage studies and issue diplomas. More than 60,000 users and one team that knows the system down to the last line.

We do one thing properly. And everything a school needs around it.
MAIS – academic information system
Admissions, student records, timetables, exams, theses, state exams, graduation, housing and scholarships. Nine modules on one core: a school deploys what it needs and adds more when the time comes.

We connect what doesn't talk to each other
CRŠ (Central Register of Students), State Treasury, SAP, records management, CRZP (Central Register of Theses), PrihláškaVŠ (national university application portal), LDAP and single sign-on. MAIS can also work with another student information system, such as AiS2, when schools share students.
Integrations and developmentWhen an off-the-shelf system is not enough
We map the processes, design the solution and deliver it. For universities and other public sector institutions.
MAIS Student
Grade book, timetable, exam dates and exam sign-up, school news and a personal profile on your phone. For iOS and Android, free of charge.
Plagoff
An originality check of a thesis before submission, with the same algorithm as the official check. Results usually within half an hour.
More about PlagoffWhat you get besides software
The system is yours
The MAIS license is perpetual and the system runs on your servers. You pay for support and development, not for access to your own data.
Legislation does not catch us off guard
When the Act on Higher Education or a decree changes, we deploy the update before it takes effect. It is in our contracts.
Support without a call center
Our support team helps study department staff and administrators, with a direct line to the developers. No transfers and no waiting for a third tier. Working days 9:00–15:00, podpora@mais.sk.
No database licenses
MAIS uses PostgreSQL as its database. The school pays nothing for database licenses.

MAIS is backed by a team, not one person.
Analysis, development, operations and support each have a different owner. The system does not depend on a single person, and when you get in touch, you reach whoever handles your case.
More about us- Management
- The company directors negotiate with universities in person and put their names behind every delivery.
- Analysis
- We turn study regulations and legislation into a specification before the first line of code is written.
- Development
- We build and maintain MAIS, including its integrations and the MAIS Študent mobile app.
- Operations
- Servers and databases, rollout of new versions and backups on the universities' own infrastructure.
- Support
- The first point of contact for study department staff and administrators, with a direct line to the developers.
Considering a new academic system?
We will show you MAIS on your own processes, not on slides. 30 minutes online, no commitment. We will also tell you what a rollout at your university would involve and how long it would take.
